Panic Attack Monitor

This is a wearable that detects heart rates similar in structure to a panic attack for users with an anxiety disorder. This device opens a guiding breathing exercise with a lighted guided breathing pattern.

Anxiety disorders affect approximately 19% of people, with just 37% of that group receiving treatment. Panic attacks can be triggered by known stimuli as well as being unpredictable.

AI image generators were used as a benchmarking method. The image generators were used to amalgamate images that registered as anxiety management devices. This was used as a loose ideation tool, to identify shapes and colors that I researched further.

Rotating light patterns guide the user's breathing direction, while tracing their finger on the gray soft goods surface acts as a centering exercise.
